Revealing November Creations

I couldn't wait to start creating with the November Kit from Birds of A Feather.  Here's my first layout that I created and I had so much fun.  I used some fun pictures of Kate being her entertaining self.  I don't usually go for glitter, but I am loving the glitter letters in the kit!  I also added one of the journaling cards I made for my November Technique.  (made putting this together so easy!)
Here is a close up of how I added the title to the card for a quick page embellishment.
Then of course I had to make a card.  Can't have enough cards made up to give to friends and family.  Not only do I love the glitter letters, I love the glitter words in the Kit Extras! I think they worked well together to make up the sentiment.
If you grabbed your November Kit, I hope you are inspired to get it out and start scrapping!  Remember to share with us so we can see what you create with this great kit!!

Technique Tuesday - November Kit Journaling Cards

Hello!  I can't believe we are already working with the November Kit.  For today's Technique Tuesday I have some journaling card inspiration.   I had some blank journaling cards that I wanted to dress up before I used them in my Project Life Album.  I also wanted to use them on layouts I create with the kit.  So, for those of you that don't participate in Project Life,  you can use these for your layouts or cards!  My journaling cards are actually from Project Life but you can use any kind you have or that you cut out yourself.
The kit Amy put together this month really has great colors and embellishments.  I used a little bit of everything  to decorate the cards.  The rub-ons, glitter words and alpha stickers, the mini frames, journaling spots and the fun rolling stamp that is in the November Kit Extras
This shows you some the ways I mixed up the embellishments.  I just had a lot of fun with it.  I even cut out pieces of the patterned paper.
Not only did I create journaling cards, I also used a picture on one for inserting in my Project Life page.  I love that these are made up and ready to grab at any time.  Here are some details of the cards.  I used initials, dates, cut up the journaling spots that are in the kit and also layered the banners that are in the extras. (I did include some ephemera pieces that are not included in the kit.)

These are all the cards that I completed!  I think the November Kit had so many fun colors and patterns to work with. Now, I can't wait to add these to my projects!
If you make some cards, make sure you post them in the gallery so we can see what you create!

OCTOBER CREATIONS

Time for my last reveal with the October Kit!  I did another layout and card.  Once again, I used flowers even though I normally don't. (Insert gasp here.) But I really thought the flower stickers in the extras were so pretty.  Love the colors.  So, I used them on a simple "Thank You" card.  I used some pop dots to give the card some dimension and the sentiment was done with the alpha stickers that are in the kit.  And my favorite wood grain paper was used for the background of the card.
For my layout, I kept it simple too.  Of course, I think I have a pretty simple style so I don't think it's too surprising.  I used a picture of our dog, the wonderful wood grain paper and some strips of the orange patterned paper.  I did some fussy cutting for the LOVE tag and added the stickers for the date and the journaling.  I thought the little orange button, which is also from the extras, looked cute as an embellishment.  Just like the "Thank You" card,  I used the alpha stickers from the kit.  And of course I couldn't leave out an initial!
If you picked up one of the October Kits, make sure you share what you create over in the BOAF Gallery.  We would love to see them!

Creating with the October Kit

I really can't believe it's October already.  Where does the time go?  A new month means a new kit and Amy put together one with great fall colors.   Not only is it great for fall, I used the papers for a Halloween page.  I couldn't help it.  The green, orange and purple of the Bo Bunny papers just scream Halloween to me.   So I grabbed a picture from last year, cut some strips from the patterned papers and added some embellishments and a die cut title.

The circles are from the chipboard pieces included in the kit and I used one button from the kit extras.
I cut the title with my Cameo for and easy title.  The Prima alphas weren't the color I needed for this page, so I used a black ink dabber and painted them to match.  The quote bubble is also a die cut.

For my Thank You card I went with the Echo Park Papers.  The wood grain paper is my favorite so I made it the base.  I added stickers from the sticker sheet in the extras and cut out a butterfly from the Authentique page that Amy included with the kit.  I used some pop dots to make the butterfly stand out a little more.  This was a simple card and now I have a thank you card ready for when I need one!

This kit went pretty fast, but there is still one left in the boutique.  If you grabbed one already I can't wait to see what you create with it!  Make sure to add it to our gallery.  Enjoy the October Kit!
