Happy New Year & An ST Sketch Challenge!

Happy 2012 to everyone! Hope you had a good time ringing in the new year. Ours was nice and mellow which was fine with me. (a change from when I was younger and had to be doing "something" or I wasn't cool!)

I hope to organize a bit this year. I say it every year but this house needs some major organizing so we have a bit more room for things. Wish me luck...i'm going to need it.

I plan on scrapping a lot this year too! Between scrapping and my Project Life I should have a lot to work on. It's Monday

Happy Monday everyone. I have one kid home today not feeling too well. Grrr! Can't be sick now. I'm pretty sure she was sick last year at this time too. Hopefully it doesn't last long.
I am going to try and finish my Christmas shopping today before Paul has to leave for work. I know what I have to get so that should make it a little easier.

Have you been over to Sketchy Thursday's Blog yet? A new sketch with new inspiration from the Design Team is posted! It will be up for 2 weeks since this week is Christmas and they are pretty sure no one will get much scrapping done this week. So that gives you more time to create a layout based on the sketch and put your layout in for a chance at the prize!

Where the heck did November go people?? I know I say it every year but it just seems to have blown by this year. Maybe it's because I'm 40 now and time is going faster. I have 6 months and I'll be 41...I like 40 better. lol.
I need to get going on my Christmas shopping. I have a few stocking stuffers for the kids and one present for Kate. But that is it.
I also need to start some calendars on Snapfish.com that I make for the grandparents. I am way behind on that too.

I did manage to fit some scrapping in for our sketch at Sketchy Thursdays. Check out the 12.01 sketch and my take on it. If you can squeeze in some scrap time between shopping I hope you will post a layout based on the sketch. you know there is always a great prize involved!

Posting this Late

I'm posting the November 17th sketch a bit late. No excuse...just way late! Love this simple sketch. You can do so much with it! If you want to submit a layout based on the sketch you have until this Wednesday, Nov. 30th. To get you inspired you can check out the work that that some of the DT did at the Sketchy Thursday Blog.

It's the weekend!

Happy Friday and Happy Veterans Day. Thanks to all the past and present men and women who sacrifice their lives for ours.

This week has gone so slow and I'm looking forward to the weekend. No big plans. I need to clean the house, do the laundry, take Kate to riding lessons, visit my nephew, make sure homework gets done...you know, all that normal stuff. Oh, and maybe take some more pictures of these two...



I need to take some pictures for our Christmas cards but if I don't get them to cooperate for more pictures, which is a huge possibility, I will use this one. They do look pretty cute. And they look like they love each other. :)

This is my take on the sketch. I flipped it and did a landscape layout instead of my usual vertical page. Used some old pictures of Dexter...can't believe he was that little.

Last Sketch of October

I gotta say how much I enjoy being a part of the Design Team for Sketchy Thursdays. There is so much inspiration from the DT to the members. And of course, there are the wonderful sketches! They really give me that extra push to design a page. That's why, if you haven't been over there to visit the ST blog, you need to! This is the last sketch for October and it is so much fun! Simple... but you can do so much with it!



This is my take on the sketch. I had to do a Halloween page since Trick-or-Treating is right around the corner!
