Last Sketch of October

I gotta say how much I enjoy being a part of the Design Team for Sketchy Thursdays. There is so much inspiration from the DT to the members. And of course, there are the wonderful sketches! They really give me that extra push to design a page. That's why, if you haven't been over there to visit the ST blog, you need to! This is the last sketch for October and it is so much fun! Simple... but you can do so much with it!



This is my take on the sketch. I had to do a Halloween page since Trick-or-Treating is right around the corner!

I decided to go a little more simple on my layout with the background words. I never type on my layouts so this was fun for me. I think it adds something. And of course there's the picture of Kate acting all sad the night before school started. She was sad but this picture makes it look like she will be tortured when she gets to class. LOL!

My 9-22 Sketch

Here's my take on the 9-22 Sketch for Sketchy Thursdays.

I loved the sketch and since it was Tyler's birthday on the 22nd I had to make the layout about Ty! It's a pretty simple layout but I'm pretty happy with how it turned out!

Today is also exciting because it is Tyler's 12th Birthday! 12 YEARS OLD! I can not believe it. He wasn't too happy about being at school on his birthday but we are taking him to Red Lobster later so that should make him happy!
Happy Birthday to my wonderful, sweet, happy, handsome son! We love you!

Schools In

Well, the first week of school is behind us. I have a 7th grader and a 4th grader. Here's a few pictures of both of them. Here's to a great 2011-2012 school year!
