Can't Believe It

I say it every year and every single year I am always surprised. SCHOOL STARTS TOMORROW! Where did the summer go? I am not looking forward to getting up early, getting the kids out the door on time, homework, schedules and just the whole routine. But I am looking forward to some QUIET time!! That I can not wait for. But I will tell you, these two aren't looking forward to school starting.



My 4th grader and 7th grader! Man, time really does fly. Here's hoping for a great school year. One more day of vacation...going to enjoy it!

I haven't been doing much scrapping in the past few weeks. With summer vacation coming to an end I have been busy with the kids and getting everything ready for school. But here's are a few layouts that I did and I wanted to get them up on the blog. (poor neglected blog)

Sketch & Color Inspiration

I just found out about a blog called Sketchy Thursdays. I was never one to use sketches before but lately I just love using them! Right away I was inspired with this weeks sketch. Finished the layout for it last night! I also was inspired by the Color Challenge @ Birds of a Feather Kit Site! Nothing like double the inspiration!

DT SADNESS

For several years I have been a part of a great DT at The Mosy Scrapper. The site is owned by Christa Weldon and I have enjoyed getting to know her through our shared hobby. I have also enjoyed getting to know several of the girls on the site with me. Recently, Christa made the decision to close the site and end the design team. I am very sad to see it come to an end but I completly understand why she did it. I hope we continue to stay in touch and maybe in the future get something going again! Thanks for letting me be a part of your site Christa and thanks for everything.

Color Challenge & SEW EASY

Last week I got myself a SEW EASY tool and I am loving it! I used it for the first time on the color challenge at Birds of a Feather. Had a good time with this page. Thanks for inspiration, Amy!

Some of our Summer

I love summer vacation. No homework, no rushing out the door to get the bus on time...just laid back days! Don't get me wrong, the kids can drive me crazy but all and all the summer is so much fun! I even got a girls night out to celebrate my 40th! (oh, that hurts to type) Here are just a few pictures of what we've been up to.

I'm a Guest Designer!!

I'm very excited to be a guest designer over at Birds of a Feather Kit Co.! Amy always has wonderful kits and this month was no exception!! The July Kit is packed (and I mean packed) with Cosmo Cricket Salt Air and October Afternoon 5 & Dime! I had a great time designing and I am not done yet!
