New AC papers and Bowling Shoes

So, Kate got to bowl for the first time last weekend. Her cousin had a birthday party at a bowling alley and they had a great time. And I noticed that the ugly bowling shoes just looked so cute on Kate! Maybe it's because I'm her mom...but she made them look good! So, of course, I had to do a layout and I had to use these wonderful colors from the American Crafts Travel line! It's so much fun! You really can't go wrong with some cute feet and some cute patterened paper!!

On to Round 3!

We had to make a card using chipboard and felt and this is what I came up with! I made it to the next round...the final round! We found out last night. 9 of us made it and we are all so excited. Now I have to make something for the new challenge. Wish me luck!! Congrats to all the girls that made it with me!

I made it to Round 2!!

This was the layout I created for the first round of the DT Search at The Mosy Scrapper!! The theme was SUMMER and I knew I had to include a bunch of pictures for this one! I think I am going to do a 2nd half to this b/c I have more pictures to add to this. Christa and April gave us a good first challenge and the second one has been posted. I have to get busy so I can have a chance at making it to the next round! Wish me luck! Check the site out. It is such a great place!

Playing with Shutter Speed!

My best friend taught me a little bit about shutter speed. I set it at 1/40 and let Kate run like a maniac through the yard...this is what I got and I think it turned out pretty good for the first time! Cool effect. Not the best but I like it!

Doing a little scrapping tonight

I did these for the weekend crop that Christa has every weekend at The Mosy Scrapper! She posts layouts, sketches and other challenges every week and you can finish what ever you can. Gives me the push I need to get scrappin!

BON JOVI...ONCE AGAIN!!

Bon Jovi came back last night for another great concert and of course Dena and I COULD NOT pass it up! So glad we didn't because this time we had amazing seats. We always get the crappy seats at the top of the stadium but this time we were side stage and in the front row on the rail! When they came to the side of the stage we were about 15 ft. from them! So close!!! One bad thing that happened last night was my batteries died in the parking lot of the stadium. We were so mad! So...we did manage to capture a few pictures with our cell phone. Dena took this one and it gives a pretty good idea of where we were sitting. Got to love a good night out with your best friend and a hot singer of a band!!!
